Celtuce, garlic scapes, beets, and green corriander.

Green cilantro seeds.
Took notes from Michelle, I'm going to collect these green seeds until I get enough to make a pesto.
I've
made a Thai pesto before using dried corriander seeds, fresh cilantro
roots, white peppercorns, and garlic, it was delicious with shrimp and
pork ribs, I think the fresh seeds would work out just fine.
Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne's Dandelions, drop by to see more harvests from around the globe by other gardeners.

Beautiful harvest! So, do you use the Thai Pesto like a rub on the ribs?
Oh, you have enough scapes to make something yummy. I hope to grow more next year.
I've heard of others using the fresh coriander but I've never done it myself. I ought to try as they are just starting to come in.
Awesome harvest! Beets look good!!
Love your basket of plenty. Quite stunning!
Yikes, I bought celtuce but forgot to plant. Your photo reminded me, thanks.
Your harvests are always so interesting and varied. I was interested in Michelles post about using fresh coriander seed too. Not much use to me though since I am not growing any! LOL! Just curious about it though.
Nartaya,
I used the Thai pesto to marinade BB pork ribs and then braised/slow cooked the ribs, the sauce was so delicious over rice.
S Modern,
Yes, there's enough to make 2-3 dishes, I'm thinking lacto-ferment some scapes for later use.
Daphne,
Give it a go, you've such good ideas of using different herbs and greens.
Holly, Marcia,
Thanks.
Norma,
It's getting hot here, I'll have to wait until fall for my 2nd planting.
I heard there are 2 different varieties of celtuce, one grows better in fall with shorter daylight, and the other one grows better in spring.
kitsapFG,
I didn't planted the cilantro, they are volunteers :P
That Thai pesto sounds delicious - lovely idea.
Great photo of a fantastic harvest!
Looks to good to eat!
Do please let us know how the pesto comes out with the fresh seeds. Aren't they wonderfully fragrant when you harvest them! I had to pull all my plants out but I harvested all the green seeds and dried them and theynare the most fragrant dried coriander ever.
How do you prepare celtuce? I've never eaten it.
Liz, Andrea,
Thank you.
Michelle,
Yup, those green coriander is so fragrant, I can't wait to collect more seeds for the pesto.
Celtuce can be prep the same as asparagus, saute, salad, pickle etc.
Maybe I'll do a post on it later.
Have not tried growing Celtuce before... would love to try growing it one day... good hint on the coriander seeds... wonderful harvest you have...
Lrong,
Thank you, celtuce will grow well in your area, it's like growing lettuce.
