CNY EZ Sweet Sesame Dumplings 懶人賴湯丸


Warning: eat at your own risk


1 package each---sweet rice flour & prepared sweet sesame filling (lard, lard, lard~~~~~~~)

1. Slice sesame filling (block) into finger length, break off a small piece and roll into small marble size, freeze the sesame balls until use.

2. Mix sweet rice flour with warm water; knead to form a large dough ball, let dough rest 10 minutes to hydrate thoroughly.

3. Pinch off small pieces of rice dough and roll into marble size balls (slightly bigger than the sesame balls), lightly flatten dough with your palm and wrap the sweet rice dough around the sesame ball, (since the sesame balls are frozen you can easily press the rice dough onto it), pinch to seal all edges, roll and shape filled rice ball with both hands, repeat until you have enough dumplings or until the rice dough is gone. These dumplings can be made ahead of time, they freeze well.

4. Cook dumplings in boiling water, do not use “rolling” boil water at high heat or else the dumplings will break open and you'll get boiled dough instead of dumplings.
